Upcoming reality TV show Who's Your Daddy? is being condemned by US adoption groups.
The show, which will see an adopted girl try to pick out her biological father from an array of contestants for a cash prize, has been named 'despicable' by the Evan P Donaldson Adoption Institute.
Adam Pertman, the Institute's executive director of research and policy organisation said: "It takes a deeply personal and important experience and turns it into a money-grabbing game show.
"I think it is despicable."
However, executive producer of the Fox show, Scott Hallock, explained: "You might get the impression from the title that it is somehow salacious or exploitive. But nothing could be further from the truth."
