An unknown comic has landed a 26-part primetime series on MTV, just one year after starting his career.
According to Ananova, 23-year-old Russel Brand (below) has been signed by the music station to write and present the series.

He said: "We'll go to clubs and talk to people who are off their faces. But we won't talk about music, we'll talk to them about Hitler, or Sesame Street, or Ossie Ardilles's vest.
"I'm writing the show, but the best bits are improvised. We get people on Es to talk nonsense. There are also silly games, like getting people to read stuff from idiot boards that is spelt phonetically. It's very Chris Morris-esque. It's nice to move on to TV. It opens doors."
Filming begins in March, and the series will air in late April.
