'Shooting Stars' boosted by ex-Sugababe

The 10pm show, which featured the ex-Sugababe, Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen and Lenny Henry, performed better than last week's episode, which drew 1.5m (8.4%), but failed to beat the series opener, which had 2.72m (13.7%) on Wednesday, August 26.
Earlier on BBC Two, a double-bill of MasterChef: The Professionals logged 2.53m (11.3%) and then 2.85m (12.4%) at 8pm and 8.45pm respectively. Dragons' Den Online followed at 9.30pm, bringing in 1.07m (4.8%).
The final part of BBC One's Trawlermen had 3.29m (14.6%) during the 8pm hour, then the 9pm documentary Wounded averaged 2.93m (13%).
Location, Location, Location took 2.3m (10.2%) for Channel 4 during the 8pm hour, then 2.79m (12.4%) tuned in for The Secret Millionaire at 9pm. Later, during the 10pm hour, Ugly Betty was seen by 980k (5.9%).
A repeat of Five's World War One In Colour managed 615k (2.7%) at 8pm. The audience then climbed to 630k (2.8%) during the 9pm screening of Louise Redknapp-fronted Farmer Wants A Wife.
Midsomer Murders, which aired between 8pm and 10pm, averaged a respectable 5.99m (26.6%) for ITV1.
Overall, ITV1 dominated primetime with an average share of 26.4% to BBC One's 17%. Channel 4 was third with 8.5% (+1: 0.8%), followed by BBC Two with 8.9% and Five's 2.7%.
