New-look Big Breakfast a turn off for viewers

The revamped Big Breakfast on Channel 4 is providing a turn-off for most viewers, according to early figures.
Just 300,000 tuned in for Thursday morning's show, fronted by new hosts Paul Tonkinson, Amanda Byram and Donna Air. 700,000 had watched Johnny Vaughan and Denise Van Outen depart two weeks earlier.
The second episode of Channel 4's The West Wing did pretty poorly later in the evening, attracting 1.3 million (7%). On ITV, 5.6 million tuned in for the News At Ten, whilst 4.9 million watched BBC1's Ten O'Clock News.
Channel 5 averaged an 18% share - 0.9 million viewers - for its late night screening of cult filmshow Outthere.
