A show insider confirmed via Twitter: "ITV has recommissioned new hit gameshow format The Cube for a 2nd series. The programme will be broadcast in 2010."
Earlier this year, the series made a decent debut, averaging 5.52m (26.7%) after a lead-in from the series six opener of The X Factor.
ITV is currently seeking applicants for the show's second run.
