The Irish comic claimed that he couldn't get them on his chatshow while they're apart because the interview would be too "serious".
"They are both difficult for our show at the moment because you have to take them to a serious place," he told DS. "Our show doesn't do that much, or in fact, at all! Occasionally, I get inspired to do a serious bit of interview, the producers say, 'Yeah, that's coming out - we're cutting straight to the fart joke'."
He continued: "I think Katie and Peter would be a hard booking for us at the moment. I'd feel like Dr Anthony Clare - I'd just want them to get back together. That's what I think, they should get back together and I think they will."
Norton joked: "At least ITV2 can do a show called When Katie Met Peter Again. Due to budget restrictions you both can't have a reality show, you'll have to share it again!"
The Graham Norton Show returns on Monday at 10.35pm on BBC One.
