'Accidentally On Purpose' heads to E4

Channel 4 head of acquisitions Gill Hay has picked up two new series from CBS Studios International for More4 and E4, it has been announced.

Julianna Margulies-fronted The Good Wife will make its UK debut on More4, with repeats due to air later on Channel 4.

Additionally, Accidentally On Purpose, which stars Jenna Elfman and Ashley Jensen, has been picked up for E4. Both new series are scheduled for broadcast in 2010.

"The Good Wife is an exceptional drama with a prestigious cast and we are extremely proud to add this to More4’s wide-ranging portfolio of high quality US series," said Hay. "And Accidentally On Purpose completes E4’s vibrant lineup of brand new acquisitions."

Both comedies recently made impressive debuts for CBS: Accidentally was seen by 9m on Monday, September 21, and The Good Wife premiered to 13.7m on Tuesday, September 22.
