'Criminal Justice' returns to 4.4 million

The first new episode of the BBC One series, which stars Maxine Peake and Matthew Macfadyen, was down on last year's opening episode, which drew 5.5m (26%) on Monday, July 1, 2008.
It was beaten by the penultimate episode of ITV1's Caroline Quentin-fronted Blue Murder, which logged an impressive 4.63m (19.7%).
Also at 9pm, the second episode of Five's FlashForward was seen by 3.26m (13.9%), just topping last week's premiere. Channel 4's Daredevils had 1.14m (4.8%), and 980k (4.2%) tuned in for Design For Life on BBC Two.
Earlier, at 8pm, The Gadget Show interested 1.53m (6.4%) for Five, 860k (3.6%) watched Channel 4's Dispatches: Who Took Our Pension?, and BBC Two's University Challenge and MasterChef: The Professionals averaged 3.21m (13.5%) and 3.09m (12.9%) at 8pm and 8.30pm respectively.
Panorama logged 2.45m (10.2%) for BBC One at 8.30pm, and 2.77m (11.7%) watched Lady In The Mask - Ten Years On: Tonight at 8pm on ITV1.
