'Armstrong & Miller' returns to 4.2m

The Armstrong & Miller Show returned to 4.21m (18.2%) for BBC One on Friday night, according to the latest viewing figures.

Earlier, at 9pm, the return of Have I Got News For You, featuring guest host Martin Clunes, logged 5.37m (23.2%). Before that, 3.54m (15.6%) tuned in for A Question Of Sport at 8.30pm.

Over on BBC Two, Gardeners' World and Autumnwatch put in 2.16m (9.5%) and 2.67m (11.7%) at 8.30pm and 9pm respectively.

Thrifty Ways For Modern Days: Tonight grabbed 3.72m (17.3%) for ITV1 between 8pm and 8.30pm. After Coronation Street, 5.76m (24.9%) watched the latest episode of Benidorm.

Channel 4's 8pm repeat of Jamie's American Road Trip managed 800k (3.6%), then the audience climbed to 1.46m (6.3%) for Rude Tube at 9pm. The penultimate episode of Peep Show then interested 1.58m (8.1%) dring the 10pm hour.

Brighton Beach Control and an NCIS repeat took 987k (4.5%) and 1.19m (5.1%) at 8pm and 9pm for Five.

Overall, ITV1 came top during primetime with an average share of 25.7% to BBC One's 21.7%. BBC Two was third with 9.3%, followed by Channel 4 with 5% (+1: 0.9%) and Five's 3.9%.
