'Peep Show' ends run with 1.4 million

Overall, the six-part sixth series has averaged 1.48m (7.7%), up from the 1.24m (7.5%) average of series five in 2007. A seventh series had already been commissioned before the most recent run had gone to air.
Earlier on Channel 4, Jamie's American Road Trip managed 900k (3.8%) in the 8pm hour, then Rude Tube improved the audience to 1.31m (5.6%) at 9pm.
Five's Brighton Beach Patrol logged 843k (3.6%) at 8pm, then NCIS delivered 1.3m (5.5%). A repeat of FlashForward followed with 853k (4.6%).
Mastermind and Gardeners' World appealed to 2.25m (9.8%) and 2.17m (9.1%) for BBC Two from 8pm, then Autumnwatch 2009 grabbed 2.96m (12.5%).
On ITV1, Heart of the Matter: Tonight interested 3.36m (14.7%) at 8pm, then after Corrie, Benidorm averaged an impressive 6.05m (25.6%).
BBC One's A Question Of Sport put in 3.83m (16%) at 8.30pm. Have I Got News For You, this week hosted by David Mitchell, took 5.16m (21.7%), then The Armstrong & Miller Show kept 4.13m (17.7%).
ITV1 led primetime overall with an average share of 25.6% to BBC One's 22.8%. BBC Two was third with 9.4%, followed by Channel 4 with 4.6% (+1: 0.8%) and Five with 3.7%.
Disney Channel's screening of Wizards Of Waverly Place: The Movie was the most watched multichannel programme of the day, averaging 713k (3.7%) from 6.25pm.
