'The Simple Life' comes under fire
Producers on the third series of The Simple Life have denied claims that a deer was illegally killed so that it could be gutted by Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie.

State officials confirmed that the deer was killed on Tuesday night, and suspected that it would be gutted for the reality show. Accounts from on-lookers suggested that it had been shot at from the inside of a car.

Todd Beck, spokesman for the production company behind The Simple Life, denied the involvement of anybody connected with the show. However, two men working for the FOX series may face fines of up to $500 for permit violations and hunting out of season.

The show recently came under fire when producers wanted to film a segment at a school. Parents complained that Paris Hilton was not a good role-model for children, and filming was prohibited.
