Moulton: 'I was too old for Aus Idol'
Published Tuesday, Nov 3 2009, 08:23 GMT | By Rebecca Davies

The 30-year-old singer, who quit the show on Sunday night leaving behind four contestants, said that he wanted to return to his teaching job because he couldn't handle the pressure of working in the music industry.
Moulton told The Daily Telegraph: "It's all been a really recent realisation in the last two weeks that I started questioning if I really wanted to win."
He continued: "There was no question before that I wanted to win, I was telling the truth and it was full steam ahead. But, the further I've gotten in this competition the more I've realised how much work is involved and how committed whoever is going to win has to be."
Moulton added: "I think sometimes a competition like this is harder for older people - especially for a 30-year-old guy."
