McGovern developing new BBC drama

According to The Mirror, six-part series The Accused centres on six people awaiting verdicts in court, with each episode focusing on a different character.
"It's the spiritual successor to The Street, but takes that format in another direction," McGovern said. "The lead character in each episode is accused of a crime, but the verdict on whether they are guilty will arrive at different points in each episode."
Earlier this year, show creator McGovern announced that award-winning drama The Street will not be returning for a fourth series.
His daytime show Moving On has been recommissioned for a second series, which is scheduled to air in Spring 2010.
