'Farmer Wants A Wife' couple engaged

An Australian farmer has announced that he is engaged to the girl that he met on reality television show The Farmer Wants A Wife.

Brad Crane, who met Stacie Marmion on the Channel 9 series six months ago, proposed to her over takeaway fish and chips recently.

Crane told Woman's Day magazine: "Her lips started quivering and luckily she said yes."

Talking about the programme, Crane added: "To be honest, I went on the show for a bit of fun. I didn't think there would be much chance of finding a bloody wife on national television. I still can't believe my luck."

Chris Newsome and Kim Tierney met and married on the first series of the show, while Jo Fincham and Rob Hodge got engaged soon after the second season ended.
