Matthew Johns has claimed that it is almost certain that he will return to sports presenting next year.
The Australian sportsman, who left The Footy Show earlier this year after a sex scandal, said that it is a "possibility" that he will host a show to rival his old Channel 9 series.
Since being named at the centre of the allegations, where a New Zealand woman said that she was left "traumatised" by group sex with John and his then teammates eight years ago, the retired footballer has set up a production company with John Singleton.
Talking about the scandal, Johns said: "One of the most difficult things was looking at the pain and embarrassment that I caused the people closest to me. It was my actions that caused it."
Johns recently turned down the opportunity to return to his old presenting job.
