The Execution Of Gary Glitter, which airs tonight, will see the convicted paedophile hanged for his crimes.
According to The Mirror, Glitter's lawyers have said that the drama will unfairly put him back in the spotlight.
A source is quoted as saying: "Glitter complained he hadn't seen an advance copy of the film and it would unfairly raise his profile. There was widespread incredulity when his letter landed. There are no plans to shelve the show."
Channel 4 previously said that it had been in contact with Glitter about the film.
