1.2 million see Gary Glitter 'hanged'

Before the controversial drama, over which Glitter reportedly threatened to sue, Not Forgotten: Soldiers Of Empire pulled in 970k (3.9%).
Over on BBC One, Panorama took 2.75m (11.1%) at 8.30pm, then 4.33m (17.6%) watched Life during the 9pm hour.
University Challenge and Miranda logged 3.14m (13%) and 2.47m (10%) at 8pm and 8.30pm respectively, then Starter For 10 grabbed 1.24m (5.4%) at 9pm.
ITV1's Collision opened to a respectable 7.5m (30.4%) at 9pm. Earlier, Kym Marsh - Born Too Soon: Tonight was seen by 3.32m (13.8%) between 8pm and 8.30pm.
The Gadget Show interested 1.52m (6.2%) for Five at 8pm, then FlashForward drew 2.38m (9.6%) at 9pm - a new low for the series.
Overall, ITV1 came top during primetime with an average share of 27.8% to BBC One's 20.3%. BBC Two was third with 7.4%, followed by Five's 5.7% and Channel 4 with 4.3% (+1: 0.6%).
Over on the multichannel stations, Sky1's new daytime show Angela and Friends - fronted by Angela Griffin - averaged a poor 35k (0.6%) between 2pm and 3.30pm.
