Five are hoping to rival BBC children's favourite, Bob the Builder, with its new show for children, Fifi Forget Me Not.
The show will follow the adventures of a mischievous gardener called Fifi, who will be unveiled to viewers later this year.
Keith Chapman, creator of both shows, told The Mirror, "I can't wait to see Fifi on screen. I think she'll be huge."
Jane Horrocks, who will voice Fifi, added, "Fifi's naughty and likes to break rules like most kids."
Five has already commissioned 52 episodes of the show, while toy makers Vivid Imagination already have plans to launch merchandise.
Bob the Builder is watched in 120 countries and brings in £150 million every year.
