ITV's 'Collision' loses 1.2m for second ep

ITV's five-part drama Collision drew 6.3m last night, early figures show.

The week-long series, which follows the lives of those caught in a car pileup on the A12, dropped 1.2m since yesterday's episode, logging 6.32m (26.5%) at 9pm. It was, however, the most-watched programme during the 9pm hour.

Yesterday's opener drew a respectable 7.5m (30.4%).

Channel 4's second helping of Gordon Ramsay's F Word topped its first week figures, drawing 1.86m (7.8%) compared to last Tuesday's 1.77m (7.4%).

Over on the BBC, Around The World In 80 Days brought in 3.88m (16.3%), while Horizon and CSI Miami took 1.69m (7.1%) and 1.99m (8.3%) on BBC Two and Five respectively.

During the 8pm hour, Holby City comfortably led the ratings with 5.91m (24.9%) tuning in for its episode, titled 'Home Truths'.

ITV's edition of John Sergeant On The Tourist Trail attracted 3.64m (15.4%), while Gok Wan's How To Look Good Naked on Channel 4 drew 1.56m (6.6%). Five's edition of Sea Patrol UK put in 1.23m (5.2%).

Overall, BBC One edged primetime with an average share of 23.1% to ITV1's 20.4%. BBC Two was third with 9.2%, followed by Channel 4's 6.1% (+1: 0.7%) and Five with 5.6%.

On the multichannel stations, Sky1's outing of Stargate Universe interested 598k (2.7%).
