McManus said in the announcement on Channel 10: "It's purely my decision. It's not one I've made lightly or flippantly. The timing was right to stop, stand back and see what happens next."
The TV star is rumoured to be in talks to host a radio show with sidekick Peter Helliar and DJ Merrick Watts.
McManus is also executive producer of The 7pm Project and presents Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader?
