Keeping Up Appearances star Patricia Routledge has landed a role as a murderer in a new ITV drama.

Anybody's Nightmare, which goes into production this Summer, will see Routledge play piano teacher Sheila Bower. The drama is based on a real-life story, where Miss Bower was jailed for four years for murdering her elderly aunt.

She was later cleared of killing her aunt in 1998.
