Hilton forgets to pay for 'Simple Life' gift

A kind gesture made by Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie to a family who put them up during filming of The Simple Life has backfired.

Paris and Nicole ordered two Great Danes to be delivered to a mother-of-three who welcomed the pair to her home last year. They decided on the gift after hearing how the woman's previous dog died just one month before their visit.

The only problem is that Paris and Nicole soon had other things on their mind - and forgot to pay the bill for the dogs, according to Teen Hollywood.

Representatives from Paris' choice of dog-breeders soon paid a visit to the family, demanding payment of $2000. The dogs have now returned to the breeder.
