PPV Rights: Winner still undecided

The winner of the pay-per-view rights package for Premiership football has still not been decided, in a continuing saga that could run on into the start of the next football season.
"There is a long way to go before anyone gets anything and you have to ask yourself whether anyone can get it organised in time. No one really understands if there is much of a market for it and that is part of the issue," said one source.
The Premier League is still deciding on whether the rights should go to just one bidder, or be divided off to many broadcasters.
A spokesman said, "We are still in detailed negotiations. A deal will be concluded as soon as the broadcasting team makes its recommendation to the club chairmen."
