The show, which launches off the back of the BBC's poetry season, will arrive in the form of five episodes which will broadcast in 2010.
Each episode will feature three people's true life stories, which will then be judged by a literacy panel. Five successful contributors will go on to have their books published by HarperCollins.
Keating said of the series: "Writing my autobiography made me realise how much had happened in my life and that we all have story to tell.
"That's why I'm excited to be involved with My Story. I'm sure we're going to find some amazing true life stories. I'm looking forward to meeting the people behind the stories."
Keating, Bleakley and Alagiah will each present a show, with two other presenters to be announced shortly.
