Martha Stewart to host 'Apprentice' spinoff

Troubled domestic diva Martha Stewart will be hosting a new version of NBC's The Apprentice.
In January, Apprentice co-executive producer Donald Trump told the New York Post that a Stewart spinoff was "not what NBC has in mind" - but one month later, the network has clearly had a change of heart.
"I am thrilled to be able to offer my good friend Martha the opportunity to join me in the success of The Apprentice," said Trump in a statement Wednesday. "As an executive producer, I’ll be rooting for amazing ratings but most of all, I hope she has as much fun as I do with this venture."
Stewart's version of the show will follow the same basic format, but will be "tailored" to her "personality and brand identity."
Trump's Apprentice will also continue airing. He, along with Mark Burnett, will be executive producers on both shows.
"Martha Stewart is an American icon and was the world’s first self-made female billionaire," said Burnett. "Donald Trump gives thousands of Americans the opportunity to apply to learn from and work for the most dynamic real estate tycoon in the country, while Martha Stewart offers her wonderful creative vision and expertise in the worlds of television, publishing and merchandising. This diversity of opportunity for both viewers and applicants will take our franchise to new heights."
