The show, which will take place in front of a live studio audience, will also feature a host of other comedy talent.
Watson & Oliver have previously had three sell-out Edinburgh gigs and have appeared in comedy shows including Peep Show, The IT Crowd and We Are Klang.
Head of comedy Mark Freeland said of the commission: "It’s brilliant that Watson & Oliver have the chance to show how talented and funny they are and I'm proud that they are going to be doing this with us, in-house."
The pilot is due to be shot in early 2010.
