Earlier on Channel 4, Jamie's Family Christmas was seen by 2.49m (10.9%), then Come Dine With Me Extra Portions appealed to 1.81m (7.8%).
BBC One's A Question Of Sport had 3.87m (16.6%) at 8.30pm, then Have I Got News For You - this week guest hosted by Bill Bailey - grew the audience to 5.43m (23.5%). Live At The Apollo followed at 9.30pm with 4.23m (19%).
You've Been Framed! put in a reliable 3.79m (16.7%) for ITV1 between 8pm and 8.30pm, then in the 9pm hour, the concluding half of romantic comedy Mister Eleven grabbed 2.61m (11.5%).
On BBC Two, We Are Family brought in 920k (4%) in the 8pm hour, then the audience lifted significantly to 2.84m (12.5%) for Victorian Farm Christmas.
Five's Axe Men interested 563k (2.4%) in the 8pm hour, then a rerun of NCIS appealed to 1.29m (5.7%). A double-bill of Law & Order: SVU followed at 10pm with 1.13m (6.1%) and 801k (6.7%).
Overall, BBC One led primetime with a share of 23.9% to ITV1's 21.3%. Channel 4 was third with 6.5% (+1: 0.8%), followed by BBC Two with 6.8% and Five with 3.7%.
