The contestants to appear in a Comic Relief version of Fame Academy have been announced.
The show, presented by Cat Deeley and Patrick Kielty will begin on Saturday February 26, then will enjoy nightly instalments from Wednesday March 2 until the live climax on Friday March 11.
Of the thirteen contestants, twelve have been confirmed as Edith Bowman, Christopher Colquhoun, Jon Culshaw, Jenny Éclair, Adrian Edmondson, Nick Knowles, Kim Medcalf, Al Murray, Dawn Steele, Debra Stephenson, Gina Yashere and Reggie Yates.
The series will follow the familiar Fame Academy premise, with the stars performing under the scrutiny of vocal coaches Kevin Adams, Jeremy Milnes and David and Carrie Grant.
Each show will see a contestant expelled, with the competition's judges including Richard Park, the Academy's Head Teacher, and opera singer Lesley Garrett. The viewers will phone in to vote to save all but three of the contestants, leaving one to be saved by the judges and another by the celebrity students.
Digital viewers will then be able to see Claudia Winkleman interview the unlucky contestant on BBC Three.
