The new deal, which apparently sees Norton accept a £500,000 annual pay cut, keeps the comedian tied to the broadcaster until 2012.
The Sun reports that the contract means he will be fronting a series of variety programmes as well as continuing with his BBC One chatshow.
Norton has also been lined up to host the TV BAFTA Awards coverage, the Eurovision Song Contest, and Andrew Lloyd Webber's Over The Rainbow.
