Former Stars in their Eyes host Matthew Kelly is currently filming a crime thriller for ITV.
Kelly quit as presenter of the talent show last year to pursue an acting career, and he hopes that his role in the new drama will be the perfect opportunity to showcase his talents.
Matthew plays a serial killer in the show, titled Cold Blood, and stars alongside John Hannah and Jemma Redgrave.
Speaking to The Mirror, he joked, "Although this is a very daring piece of casting, I'd have killed to get the part."
