Maffia: 'I wanted to lose bitchy image'

Lisa Maffia has admitted that she relied on reality TV shows to improve her public image.

The singer said that appearing on programmes like The Games and Celeb Air helped her to move on from the bad press which once surrounded her group So Solid.

Maffia told Take 5: "People have said they expected me to be a bitch because I was in So Solid. That's partly why I went on The Games and Celeb Air - to show people what I'm about.

"The Games was a real challenge. I came second to gym-machine Kirsty Gallacher, which was more than I expected!"

Meanwhile, the star's appearance on Celeb Air saw her triumphing over comedienne Amy Lamé.
