BBC confirms Titchmarsh's garden return

Alan Titchmarsh has signed a deal to front a new gardening series on BBC Two, the corporation has confirmed.

The presenter will visit some of the UK's "most spectacular showpiece" outdoor spaces in the new programme Alan's Garden Secrets. Titchmarsh, who previously presented Gardeners' World, said he was "delighted with the move", promising to pass on tips to viewers "so they can create some of the same magic in their own gardens".

Former Gardeners' World presenter Monty Don is also returning to the channel in a series entitled "Monty Don's Italian Gardens.
