Edith Bowman wins 'Celebrity Fame Academy'

Edith Bowman has been named the winner of Comic Relief Does Fame Academy.

The Radio 1 DJ beat the bookies favourite, EastEnders actress Kim Medcalf, in what was described as a "close" final vote.

Comedian Adrian Edmondson landed a third place finish earlier in the evening.

Over the course of the two-week show, the thirteen participants raised £1,322,976 for Comic Relief through some 8.25 million votes.
