The Loose Women star recently announced that she had decided to quit the supermarket's commercials after three years.
It has now been confirmed that, rather than recruiting a celebrity replacement, the frozen food chain instead plans to search for an ordinary member of the public to be Nolan's successor.
X Factor-style auditions for the job are to take place in March with Nolan on the judging panel. Five hopefuls will then be put forward for consideration by the public, who will vote for a winner.
An Iceland spokesperson explained: ''Just like Coleen, we're looking for a new face who loves Iceland and is the perfect blend of personality and charm. Someone who is enthusiastic about Iceland and is literally bursting for the chance to tell everyone else about it.''
Nolan added: ''I'm delighted that Iceland have asked me to be part of the judging panel for their New Face competition. I've loved my time working with them and I'm looking forward to helping them find a face for the future that can represent their brand.''
Hopefuls can apply for a place at the auditions via Iceland's website.
