Diddy boasts his show better than 'Idol'

Sean Combs (P Diddy) has stated that his talent show Making The Band is far superior to American Idol.

Combs reckons that his show, in which the participants live together as they compete for a place in the band, is more entertaining to audiences than a straight talent competition.

Contactmusic.com quotes him as saying: "(My show) is a little bit more underground than American Idol 'cause it shows you the truth in what it takes to become a superstar, like all of the trials and tribulations.

"I like some of the artists that came out of American Idol. I like the whole premise of it. But Making the Band, I'm like their competitor, I'm their competition 'cause I give you the real, raw truth about the music industry. None of this fluff-fluff stuff. None of that, baby."
