Tension between 'Footballers' Wives' stars?
Published Saturday, Apr 2 2005, 09:21 BST | By Daniel Kilkelly
Zoe Lucker fled a VIP screening of Footballers' Wives in tears, after one of her co-stars made a nasty comment about her, according to The Mirror today.
The show's cast and crew gathered to celebrate the fourth series of the hit drama on Thursday night, and it wasn't long before sparks were flying.
"Someone from the show made a sly remark about Zoe, and she took it terribly," an insider told the newspaper. "The mood turned ugly really quickly. One minute everyone was laughing, the next Zoe was wiping away tears and getting her coat."
Lucker was apparently comforted by co-star Sarah Barrand, who plays Shannon on the show, before eventually deciding to leave the party.
"When Zoe heard the snide comment, she went ballistic," the source added. "Sarah was trying to calm her down, but she was devastated."
