'Jamie's Kitchen' to open down under
Published Wednesday, Apr 6 2005, 15:12 BST | By Neil Wilkes

The new show will take the format of the popular UK version, which followed the chef as he set up a new restaurant, staffed by fifteen unemployed young people with next to no cooking experience.
The Aussie adaptation for the Ten network will be headed up by Oliver's colleague Toby Puttock. Oliver will remain involved "at key times," such as the launch of the restaurant, which is being built in Melbourne.
"Jamie will not be here full-time but he is putting up the money in addition to one or two local investors," said a spokesperson for production company Crackerjack.
Localised versions of the format have previously aired in Holland and France (Oui Chef).
