Former Blue singer Duncan James is poised to sign a deal to become a presenter for GMTV.
The heartthrob is being lined up as a replacement for Ben Shephard on Entertainment Today, which airs each Friday in the 8.35am slot.
"We are looking as him as a regular presenter," said an insider. "He'd be a great replacement for Ben and he gets on really will with (co-anchor) Jenni Falconer."
Shephard is moving to the main GMTV show to replace Eamonn Holmes, who leaves at the end of the month.
