The Royle Family's Caroline Aherne is making a television comeback with former Cold Feet star John Thomson.
Aherne, best known for her roles as lazy Denise Royle and Mrs Merton, is writing a new show with Thomson.
A source told The Sun, "Caroline feels comfortable with him. They have both been through turbulent times and have been there for each other. Her new show is a drama best described as a bit of dark comedy."
Caroline has started work again after undergoing electric shock treatment to cure depression.
