The French celebrity chef, who judges Australian series My Kitchen Rules alongside Pete Evans, said that they are not trying to compete with rival culinary programme MasterChef Australia.
Feildel told The Daily Telegraph: "We are not MasterChef and it is a completely different show. I think it's more about the people cooking at home which everyone can relate to."
He also revealed that his favourite couple on the show are Mossy and Gabe from NSW, saying: "They are a great Aussie couple. We have become good friends since the show first began.
"Clint and Noah are still young but have the potential to become very good cooks with time."
