The Daily Telegraph reports that the Only Fools And Horses star has lent his vocal talents to Muddle Earth.
The programme is based on the book by Paul Stewart and Chris Riddell and parodies The Lord of the Rings.
Jason voices the character of Randalf the wizard, who, along with his human apprentice Newt, tries to stop evil teddy bear Dr Cuddles from taking over the land.
He said: "I am delighted to be back doing one of the jobs I enjoy most for such a wonderfully entertaining new children's series."
The show is the BBC's first in-house animation and will debut on digital channel CBBC on Monday.
