'Enterprise' campaign gives up
Published Monday, Apr 25 2005, 22:41 BST | By Daniel Saney

The campaign, led by TrekUnited, last week announced that they would begin refunding donations to fans who contributed to the fund, after failing to secure a fifth season of the UPN show.
A statement on the group's website reads: "Despite the significant sum being offered to produce a fifth season ...Paramount turned down the offer.
"Paramount has reinforced its stance that it cannot and will not take money contributed by fans, even though TrekUnited became incorporated over one and a half months ago and technically any money offered would not have to be regarded any different than from a corporate sponsor."
The Enterprise finale can be seen on Friday May 13 on UPN.
