Farmer Ryan
Farmer Jason will be on board to "lend a helping hand during the busy lambing season" when the show returns for a three-week run next month.
As farm manager, Ryan Hooper was one of the biggest stars from the first series, so much so that he is even being groomed for his own programme outside of The Farm.
"It was an extraordinary and very exciting experience," said Farmer Ryan of series one. "It was a real pleasure to share new things with the celebrities and to watch them as they learned. Everybody took it very seriously and immersed themselves in the whole experience."
Of what he hopes for the new series, he added: "As in the first series, I want a certain farming message to be conveyed: that we care about the animals. I want to bring awareness to the public so that when they go to the supermarket they’ll have a bit more understanding about where their produce comes from. I’m keen to show that farmers uphold animal welfare standards. Farmers care about their animals and the countryside probably more than people realise."
The Farm begins Monday, May 9 at 10.30pm on Five.
