The BBC has decided to axe the prime-time version of antiques show, Bargain Hunt.
"I was the last to be told," host David Dickinson told The Mirror. "We just heard that they weren't going to recommission it. It was doing well, so I really don't know why, you'll have to ask the powers-that-be at the BBC."
He added, "These are decisions the hierarchy have to make."
The daytime version of the show will continue to be hosted by Antique Roadshow's Tim Wonnacott, according to the newspaper.
Meanwhile, Dickinson will be involved in a new show called Dealing With Dickinson. He will give £50,000 to six contestants and help them to make more money by buying antiques.
However, the presenter has revealed that he doesn't want to host antique shows forever.
"I'd like to do a chatshow or a gameshow or something," he added. "But programme makers see you with one hat on."
