The show's three stars, Linda Robson, Pauline Quirke and Lesley Joseph, have all agreed to return in their original roles. The actresses are currently undecided on whether to star in a Christmas special or commit to a whole series.
"When they've been asked before, one of them was always too busy," an insider told the newspaper. "But now all three of them have said they would like to do it again."
A BBC spokesman said, "There are no current plans for a new series of Birds of a Feather, however it would be interesting to see what Sharon, Tracy and Dorien were up to now."
The show first aired in 1989, and finally concluded in 1998 after nine series.
