Kelvin MacKenzie has become the first celebrity to be voted off Marco's Kitchen Burnout.

The three chefs - Mackenzie, Tupele Dorgu and Donna Air - were charged with cooking a special menu as part of a culinary challenge for 25 paying customers. Each celebrity then faced a score out of 100 decided by both the diners and host Marco Pierre White.

At the end of the evening, Air finished in first place with an overall score of 76, with Dorgu runner-up after amassing 57 points. Mackenzie came last with 32, having struggled to keep pace in the kitchen.

After being told of his eviction by Pierre White, Mackenzie took the news in stride, joking: "I am competitive enough to feel I had a chance... then the points came in and it's a shocker!"

Both Air and Dorgu have now progressed to the semi-final.

Marco's Kitchen Burnout will continue next Friday at 9pm on ITV1.
