The Irish stand-up, 37, claimed that one of his main motivations for appearing on the cookery reality show was to impress his wife.
"What is going to be brilliant is to invite at least ten of my friends and cook for all of them. And as well as that, it’s going to be great in the bedroom, isn't it? I'm going to get way more sex," he said.
"Food can go straight to a woman's heart - and maybe other places."
Speaking about his relationship with the show's star Marco Pierre White, Byrne joked that the Michelin star chef haunted him during his time on the show.
He added: "I didn't sleep while I was in London. All I could see when I closed my eyes was Marco's huge head with that thing on it, just floating around in front of me, going 'No! No!', 'Why would you do that?' and 'I told you this already!'"
Marco's Kitchen Burnout continues this Friday at 9pm on ITV1.
