The presenter is leaving the BBC to join GMTV, after falling out with the channel over the decision to let Chris Evans host the Friday night edition of the programme in his place.
However, in his final appearance Chiles wished a fond goodbye to the show and said how much he had enjoyed working with the team.
According to The Mirror Chiles said: "I would just like to thank all the fantastic One Show team for everything and all of you for watching.
"I don't know what I'll do without The One Show, it's been an absolute ball having to work with such great people and most of all Christine obviously."
The episode saw Chiles being joined by Robert Plant, of Led Zeppelin, and featured a highlight reel of the presenter's time on the show.
Comedian Paul Merton and Watchdog host Matthew Allwright are amongst guest hosts who will be filling in for Chiles while the BBC seeks a permanent replacement.
