'Marco's Kitchen Burnout' drops to 2.1m

Marco Pierre White's Kitchen Burnout shed more than 400,000 viewers week-on-week on Friday, early figures suggest.

The celebrity reality series mustered a disappointing 2.05m (9.1%) for ITV1 in the 9pm hour, leaving the channel in fourth place.

Ashes To Ashes won the slot comfortably for BBC One, adding more than 400k to reach 4.97m (22%). BBC Two's Bombay Railway interested 2.29m (10.1%), Channel 4 had 2.25m (10%) for Embarrassing Bodies and Five's The Mentalist pulled in 1.81m (8%).

Earlier, Dickinson's Real Deal brought in 2.98m (13.7%) to ITV1 between 8pm and 8.30pm, then in the second half of the hour, Jeremy Paxman Interviews: Gordon Brown was seen by 2.56m (11.6%) on BBC One.

A rerun of E4's Glee appealed to 615k (2.8%) on Channel 4 in the 8pm hour, drawing around half the audience for Five's Ice Patrol, which averaged 1.13m (5.2%).

BBC Two's live snooker coverage averaged 1.46m (7%) over two hours from 7pm.

Overall, BBC One averaged a share of 22.7% in primetime, while ITV1 had 19%. BBC Two was third with 8.2%, followed by Channel 4 with 5.4% (+1: 0.8%) and Five with 4.8%.
