Douglas Booth has admitted that he was nervous about kissing Mathew Horne on his new television drama.

Booth plays Boy George in Worried About The Boy while Horne takes on the role of drummer Jon Moss, who had a relationship with the Culture Club singer.

"It was fine, you know, it was very professional and no tongues," Booth told What's On TV. "It was absolutely fine."

He continued: "Before it, because I've never done a screen kiss before, let alone kissed a guy, I was like, 'Where's this going to take me? What's going to happen?'. Before the scene I was a bit nervous but once you do it, it just kind of happens.

"You're George in the scene, you do it, and then you're Douglas. I don't feel like I've kissed Mat Horne, George has kissed Jon Moss."

Worried About The Boy airs on Sunday, May 16 at 9pm on BBC Two.
